Yes, my real name is Sparky, and I really am a dog trainer! My parents had a great sense of humor.

Hello! I’m sure you’re curious about the dog trainer named Sparky, and you’re probably wondering how I got my start in dog training.

I was in school to become a doctor, and needed a flexible way to fund my schooling and pay the bills. I started working for a popular animal store as one of their trainers. I realized rather quickly that I was pretty good at it. And I wasn’t just “good” at it. I loved it! So I switched gears, and started pursuing my passion for dog training and educating their humans. That was over a decade ago. Hundreds of happy dogs and humans later, I’m pleased to say, I found my calling. Though I am not officially Dr. Sparky Serka, I’ve been able to transform people’s lives simply by teaching them how to communicate with their dogs. For that, I couldn’t be happier!
